I'm booked in for AOW/EANX/Rescue just under 2 months time with my partner so should be an interesting 7 or so days

The dives for the EANX part will be on the Lermontov so... 8)

It grates a little having to do the EANX and AOW as I certainly feel what I had to do for the commercial diving course covered waay more than those 2 ever could, come to think of it the rescues we had to perform were pretty knarly as well.. but I want to do advanced nitrox and deco procedures and the ADAS qual isn't recognised by the agencies providing them as far as I'm aware.. :x

But as always even when you feel relatively confident in your knowledge of something there's always waay more to learn.. I'm doing the courses with Brent Mcfadden at Dive Marlborough which is a big bonus as he is a very good instructor, and the Lerm guru..

:D

Sweet.
I want to do Advanced Trimix and GUE Fundies but wife has said no more money is allowed to be spent on diving and hunting until I win Lotto.

So I better keep quiet about the shotgun I have on layby then eh?

For me its Rebreather course, training for wreck diving for the lermi trip ( I already have a wreck specialty but feel its was rather lacking), and some other non diving related stuff for my Coast Guard Skippers ticket.

Id also like to do GUE fundies but the RB course will be first.

nitrox will be next for me - but not for a while! $$ just not there (especially if I want a drysuit at the end of the year...then I have to buy the manifold, tank bands, double wing...damn I always pick the expensive hobbies!!!!)
I'd like to do more wrecks, but will just have to dive with wreck people and brush up skills before doing further training for actually going inside.

It's funny that we have our eyes set on the exact same things, Alex.
Everything you said plus UW photography - well, it's more about gear than training. :)

Hah, I almost said that but then I'm too modest. :)

Come on, LB.
You need more gear before you start diving again.
Here's a starter.
