Went diving today with dive otago for my AOW

The water was good, 13 degrees, vis was ok a few meters, heaps of fish , paua , kina.

Max depth today was about 8 meters, ( I should get a long snorkel)

tomorrow is deep and boat dives for me.

Only just .

Today sunday the 15-3-09 we went to the dizzy depths of 18m, boy was i narced ...

I had trouble getting down there and my Instructor had trouble with his ear.

We made it to 18 which is what we needed to be at for 20 for aow deep dive.

Awersome stuff to see, diving on a dry dock wall.

I then had major trouble staying down with my dry suit.

Then a boat dive which went better.
all in all 2 more dives in the book and a AOW complete.

water temp in the dark south dunedin was 15 degree

Went diving again today at the mole, dunedin with a fellow friend whom likes to hold other peoples hoses.

we also took our wives and children down for a bbq lunch.

I tried a dive belt as well as my weight intergrated bcd, A much better dive in my rubber dry suit with a weight belt on my hips.

The big news was I tried my scubapro regs out today and scratched them, they were spotless not now.

wow

I got to 6 meters and said dont stop little chrome regs, and they kept going and going .

only dived 11 meters and they were awersome.

Yes they were awersome.

Did I mention they were awerome.

anyway before the dive a group of divers whom are completing their instructors course saw us and my vintage regs,

I was asked if it was like driving a classic car.

I just replied my buddy likes to look into mirrors.

Only 20 minutes playing with regs and sorting out my dry suit.

But it was cool.

13c at the bottom
vis about 2 feet.

Lost my tank out of my bcd and damaged a lp bcd hose, dam tank mesh.

thats about it.
6 dives this week, what a start and on leave soon.

Good going Scotty.
Shame about the scratch but hey it just adds character to them.
Best fix for the tank mesh problem it throw it away. It serves no useful purpose and stops your tank gaining character too.

I know know, many others find it confusing as well....

Tho for the record the rock, whilst not being as durable, does have marginally easier breathing at depth..

Do you always refer to yourself in the 3rd person?

We are not amused!

Of course I am flattered that you are taking the time to critique, thankyou.
