I am a cold blooded person, and often get quite cold while diving. What do others think of Sharkskin or Fourth Element undergarments for under wetsuits? And does anyone know where the best place to buy something like this would be?

http://www.petemesley.com/ Is the NZ distributor of 4th element. I have a wetsuit undergarment top and its great but it is expensive. If you are serious about diving all year around you may want to consider a dry suit. Which Pete also does.

rashtop for me under the wetsuit too, and I've always been fine with it, even through winter...

...having said that I did get my first drysuit this year (big girl's blouse that I am) and I have 4th element Artic stuff underneath and I'm very happy with it.

i'm a total girls blouse and i wear fourth element under my wetsuit in the summer. when i take my wetsuit off, i'm not as cold either as i am a lot drier.

in the winter, i wear fourth element thermocline under my arctics.

hows that for completely soft?

When you get a sharkskin, they come with either a hood or long sleeves. I got a hooded one so that in summer I don't need to wear another hood, but it compromises the neckseal on my semidry so it's a little bit counter productive.

If I bought another one I would get the long sleeves. Other than that they are good.

You don't want to buy a hooded one do you? About 4 months old?

Size M. I'll have to try and find the receipt to work out how much it is worth. Probably $40 less than retail.
