Great day out. Water flat, boat slow but comfortable.
Skipper a hardcase.

More to come later but for now some pics.
These were all shot using my Ring Of LightTM. Was its first official dive and I am quite happy with it.

A few of these around on the 1st dive but this female in berry was the only one I saw on the 2nd

Still reckon it's a big zoom-in of a triple-fin ;)

OK Charter was Taranui Charters and skipper was Jim Hope. He was a funny old prick. And very knowledgeable about the area and diving in general. Definitely one of the old school.
He told lots of jokes and funny stories. Really had to laugh about the story of the gay south African he had on his boat.

I think his boat was a 45ft Pelin. Had an old detriot 2 stroke diesel supercharged engine. Not the fastest boat out with a top displacement speed of 9 kts but comfortable and with a 80 minute trip to the Aldermans fast enough.
Compressor on board.
Sleeps 8Px and 2 crew
Caters for 19 Px on day trips
Tank, bait and rod hire available on request.

Tairua Charters 07 8648511 or 0274906062

We are heading back next month for a weekend trip . Spaces limited!! Book now!

If they got compressor on the boat, is it like one of those unlimited dives (but still within the non-deco dives). Do they allow solo diving?

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, Im pretty pleased with it. Could be brighter though. Will wait for the new generation Cree LEDS then rebuild it.
