Had my first real muck dive today. Was also my first side mount dive and first dive in an estuary.

A local bridge suffered some damage to the railing from an impact with a vehicle. The was a chance the vehicle has gone off the bridge and into the the water. As part of the local coastguard I was called to the location and then asked to enter the water. After a quick trip home to grab my gear I decide to just use a sling tank ( couldnt be arsed getting my double out).
I must say I quite liked it and can see the attraction to some people. Especially those with back problems or not alot of strength. Its really easy to clip the tanks on and off and you are only dealing with one at a time instead of twinned tanks. ( I only used one) So its nice and light.
You should probably use a proper side mount wing although I didnt use any for of lift. Perhaps a poodle jacket could work quite well in this instance.

Anyway I will try it again sometime in better conditions. (VIz was measured in mm for meters)
