First time site for me. I have always wanted to get out there but never had the opportunity. Weather was great seas were flat and work was slow so AITB, Bugcatcher and I set off to Little Barrier from Leigh. It was a 23 km trip that took about 30 minutes.

Not sure of the site name of the 1st dive. It was about 22 meters to the sandy bottom but the reef came to the surface. Heaps of fish life and dozens of crays. Also dozens of cray pots. I spotted a few over the limit but decided to leave them for next year ( or the commercial pots). I saw many rays during the day including a cute little eagle ray and a massive RLT ray (Real Long Tail).

The one of the ray hiding in the kelp is a cool shot.
