Managed to get a dive in today in the inner harbour and due to some rather strange currents the viz was fantastic.

Nice viz!

Very different species to, say Gannet rock. Quite surprising given the close proximity.

What was the water temp like? Any hammerheads??

Saw a few sharks, no hammer heads. Temp was quite cool. In fact there was ice in some areas.

Far out. There was a little hail in Wellington the other week, but ice in the hauraki gulf? I had heard rumours of there being a small group of emperor penguins out there, but I'd assumed it to be just hear-say....
