Is there anyone that is making battery canisters in nz?I am after one that will consistently go to 120-140m without failure that will run a 50w vest for max 2hrs.Plenty overseas just thought I would see what was in nz without re inventing the wheel.Battery ends will be a eo connector with battery hardwired to canister.

Yeah, Plumb bob may be able to sort you out a cannister. His are Delrin with a screw on lid (rotates about 370 deg from off to on). As seen below with rotating magnetic switch. These can take 90watt hours of Li Ion cells but make it 70mm longer and you get about 135watt hours.

I will also be making a few soon. Just got the latchs last week. Mine will be PVC.

I can also make battery packs as I have a CD welder.

Does that mean pay back is coming for the uwatec spg?
If you could pm for the price in delrin. Is it double oring?I think the vest will draw 5-7watts.Given the depth rating needed how will the screw top handle this?In saying that my green force batterys are screw and hold up fine.

It could be double oring if you wish, the same as the alloy can lid from a prior project here..

The depths you are wanting will be less than a tenth of what that oring configuration would be capable of handling. The weakness will be the cable entry.. what is this eo connection and what are the ratings of that? as this will be the achilles heel so to speak..

I'll be doing a couple of the cannisters for up coming can lights so if you're keen you'll need to let me know by the end of next week. The EO connector won't be a problem if it is double glanded.

Probable price approx 220 +GST (assuming double oring otherwise about 180+GST)
